The minimum age we take is eight years old, training for juniors and
beginners is a mixed class on Saturdays at 10 am.
Training costs: Per session: £5.00 for adults
and £4.00 for Children. Concessions for monthly payments.
The main traiining site is at the Wrekin College Sports Hall, Sutherland Road, Constitution Hill,
Wellington, Shropshire UK, TF1 3BH. On Mondays senior grades(Brown and Black belts) train at the Telford College of Arts and Technology (TCAT) Haybridge Road Wellington
Telford Shropshire.

New members are very welcome, basic instruction for beginners is carried out in the Saturday morning sessions. Children and Adults are catered for separately.
Experienced and 'lapsed' Karataka are very welcome, please introduce yourself to Tony Atherden who will organise a program of gradual re-introduction.
The club is affilitated to the Shotokan Karate International Federation, headed up by kancho Hirokazu Kanazawa 10th Dan; we follow their training syllabus.
Lessons include a warm up and basic karate techniques to start with followed by appropriate training for the differing grades;we have two or three very short breaks, so please bring suitable still drinks preferably in sports bottles. Wrekin College has good facilities and showers are available after training. Approximately 3 to 4 chances to grade per year are available and usually twice per year the opportunity to grade with Kanazawa himself is presented. |
